So I headed out to Walgreen's and this trip was a good one

it probably could of been better

But I'm still learning to use store coupons and manufactor coupon

plus adding in Register Rewards and doing seperate transactions

{holy cow}saving money is so fun....{wink wink}

So a couple of weeks ago our electric company called
and my husband answered the phone and said
           that the electric company is on the phone,

didn't you pay the bill?

REALLY???

 then you wouldn't have any power...

So I talked to them and they said they are giving away FREE lightbulbs

 heck yeah sign me up....

And these lightbulbs will also save on our electric bill as well....

What is it?
 It means after you have your Stockpile started
 and you are USING it NOT HOARDING it away just to say...Hey look at my Stockpile..{wink wink}

See what you need for your Menu Plan?

What would you like to add if money allows you to?

When you go and do your shopping list You now will be looking at the different stores in your area to get what you have a coupon for and/or is on sale {Watch the sales sometimes its not better}

Look at your pricebook is it a good deal?
{ if you don't have one start one}

Now let's go "Cherry Picking" get those couple of items that you need
I am lucky that I have a town near me that has all the stores right across the way from each other so this works for me it might not for you but just wanted to give you an idea on how I save on my Groceries....

 and I don't see anything I will need so next week no shopping....

What to do?

Ok you "Coupon Virgins"

You have been asking 

Where do I begin?

How do I know what is on sale?

What is "rock bottom" prices for things?

When do I use those coupons?

Where do I go for the best prices?

Here is where I start...

1. I get my sales flyers out of the sunday paper

               2. I get my weekly sales flyers from the grocery stores

               3. I get "My Coupon Binder"

               4. I figure out my "Weekly Menu" based on what I have @ home and what is on sale @ the grocery store,(usually the front page of the ad will show you what meats are on sale that week @ "rock  bottom" prices)

(Because of My Stockile I am able to do a "Monthly Menu Plan") but when you are starting out just do it weekly or for 2 weeks depending on your "Family Budget"

               5.Go to http://www.thekrazycouponlady.com/

(I use her for the Drugstores Rite Aid, CVS, and Walgreens)

               6. Go to stretchingabuck.com 

(I use her for Giant Eagle ads, but also look in the flyer)

               7. Go to iheartthemart.com

(I use him for Walmart, but he lives on Texas and his prices can sometimes be WAY different from ours, So just double check @ the store)

               8. I make "The List"

               9. Then I Organize

-Which coupons with what sales?

-What store am I using them in?

-I like knowing what is My Total gonna be?(I like having a figure but sometimes that can change once your in the store       I will see a deal on other things,  

or 

They are out of the item,(in that case ALWAYS get a raincheck for how many you want....)

Using the internet really saves me from running store to store.Start out small, Figure out what you want to have extra in your house because you know you hate running out to the store because you hear your kids or your husband say we're out of toothpaste, deoderant, toliet paper, cereal, bread, eggs, things for supper or kids lunches,etc...

When My Family says they are out of something I love saying alright then go to the Pantry.... and if we don't have it then they know to put in on "The List"(we will get to that another day). Before I would just  reach for my keys and say I'll be right back in an hour and spending full price for that item and going to the store for 2 things and leaving with 20.... You will get there if you want to trust me when my kids we're smaller I couponed a little bit here or there but I wasn't really seeing any savings so I stopped, but know they seriously eat me out of house and home if I let them..LOL. I don't know why I haven't been doing this the whole time, Ladies just get to know the stores, plan out your meals, make a list,and you will be in and out before you know it even with a screaming 3 yr old.....

And it doesn't end when you are done shopping (Sorry ladies)

When you get home put your stuff away neatly and organized so you can always see what you have hand.. 

Also you could seperate your meats into ziploc bags this helps to know how many meals you have stocked so that you can just pull it out the night before put in in the fridge( I have a container that I put my raw meat into to defrost because it could leak and I would rather clean the container than it leak all over other items)

Stockpiling

Stockpiling isn't for everyone,but it works for My Family

I love knowing that I always have a

"little" grocery store right in my own home!

My goal is to have enough food & water to last our family

a least a year or more.....

I think that Stockpiling takes time, patience, and it really helps to be organized !!!

The way I started my stockpile....

- I wrote down what items My Family uses

Daily

Weekly

Monthly

-Then I put then put the items into Categories:

frozen

dairy
health/meds
oral health
cleaning
paper products

canned goods

boxed items

drinks

etc.....

 

-Then I looked into my  pantry, freezer, fridge, cabinets, anywhere I had these items and organize them into categories
"like items with like items"

 -How many items do I want to have in my Stockpile @ all times?
(Figure out your MAX number to Stock of each item, Because you need to know when NOT to buy anymore!! That's how you become a hoarder)  


              -Then I will ACTUALLY look @ those sale flyers that come in the mail, and my Sunday Paper

-what's on sale this week?
-what do I need in my stockpile?
-what do I have a coupon for?

I shop every week for Milk,fresh produce, and I try to  only buy what I have a coupon for and what is on sale,what I consider MY rock bottom prices!
(The limit I wanna pay for items)

"My Shopping Rules For Myself"

 -Don't be Brand Loyal  try different Brands...

-Don't buy things that your family won't use....

And

-Don't clear out the shelves....If you more than 10 coupons for an item them please call your store manager and they will make sure they have enough to cover your coupons
